Hi Everyone as promised I am posting some pics of work I have done in the last 12 months while I was off line . So here we go .

This is a page that I scrap lifted my own work . I worked it so I could fit it into a shorter class time as the original was a four hour class . So I used Kaiser Craft base coat paper and a manor house flower and of course some charms . The heart frame in the back ground  was made using old rub ons that don't rub on very well and some Shazza's Magic Mica Mists .

Well pees can anyone believe it I made a Christmas album …. very unlike me . Anyone who knows me will tell you Iam not big on Christmas ,so this will not be repeated lol . It is a mini album made from a pack of Kaiser Craft cards and chip board . I love the dear charm its so cute . I made this album to teach at Fantasia Scrapbooking shop at Bella Vista . but I moved back to Brisbane before I got a chance to teach it .

Well Hi there everyone its been a very long time since I posted on my blog . So firstly to up date you where Ive been and what I have been up to .Last september  I applied and got a job as a Sales and Training Manager for New South Wales so of course I moved to Sydney and have been working for the last 12 months .

I continued to scrap while I was down there but not as frequently as I would have liked . I also had the opportunity to teach some of my mixed media projects in a wonderful shop at Bella Vista called Fantasia  http://www.fantasia.com.au.
I enjoyed my time in Sydney and met and worked with some awesome people
While in Sydney I was able to connect with my Aunty Elaine ( my mothers sister and who was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer ) and my cousins .

My Cousin Wayne cooked me plenty of roasts which helped with my homesickness .

In July I came back to Brisbane to hold Shaz &Als retreat ,with my good friend Alison Bevis ( who is on the Kasier Craft Design team )

While in Brisbane seeing all my friends and Family I felt in my heart it was time to come home.
Since coming home I have had lots to do and cope with and life was frantic at first . I had to move back into my house ,It had been vacated under unpleasant circumstances . My son was placed back in a mental health facility and my youngest daughter had her third baby .
Baby Luke was born with a rare heart condition and was not expected to live very long . He decided he had other plans and wanted to stay around . He has grown and astounded the Doctors and was released from hospital after only 5 weeks .
Life has been hectic but I have had many blessings showered on my . My life is not what it was ,but I am grateful for all I have been given. I have had lots of scrapping opportunities along the way and will post them here over the next little while . Its nice to be back in the blogging world and hope you'll all come back for a visit to see what crafty things Iam up to and new products I have found . thanks again for visiting , Cheers Shazz .

Hi everyone I am sharing a canvas I have made for a friend's birthday . I saw one on Pintrest that used scraps and thought it was a really great idea . I am really happy with how it has turned out although  I am not sure if I'll leave it just like this or add to it . Its still brewing in my mind .but I would be happy with it just like this .

So I started by gluing down some strips of paper, then I painted gesso  over the top of those strips . Next I glued on some  random negatives from my chipboard images and painted gesso over them as well  .

Next I sprayed some of my home made Mica mists over it all . I did one coat dried it then did another .Until I was happy .Than I painted gesso over it again using a stipling brush ,Untill I was happy with the effect . Then I rubbed it all over with Inka Gold rub in two colours .

Then I added some hand made flowers .I painted some chip board letters with gesso then coated them with dimensional magic and added some beads.

Was really happy with how the beads look like ice and I didn't want the title to over power the rest of the canvas . Hope my friend likes it . Until next time stay safe and keep creating .

Hi everyone here is a page I have completed . I saw a page on Pintrest and they had used a punch on the edges of the page and again on the photo edge . I liked the idea and tried it out for my selfusing an EK circles punch . It distresses the photo in a different way .

The are two types of flowers I have used on this page . There are apricot ones from petaloo and the white and gold ones are punches I bought . They are pretty cool you punch with one and then emboss with the other .They make super cute .

The gold feathers are a new die I purchased at TJ"s Srappin in Style at Woodridge .

And of course it wouldn't be my page if there wasn't a few of my charms thrown in for good measure . Thank you for looking .

Here is another project I did last week using some more Viva products .Toni from  https://www.facebook.com/TjsScrappinWithStyle showed me how to make this very textured background using Viva Ferro and Viva Precious metal colour .

I love this grungy look and just had to continue the grunge theme with some chipboard cogs also covered in Ferro and  Inka Gold rubbed over them.

I love the depth and texture you can achieve with this technique .I added some charms ,wouldn't be me if it had no charms now would it .I have rubbed some of the Precious Metal colour over the charms as well .

Layered some gauze and distressed and inked some cardboard and down the left hand side I have placed some cut out paper cogs using a new release Cherry Lynn cogs die .

To finish it all off and keep it looking grungy I added some steal wool, unused of course .

Hope you enjoyed looking .
Hi I completed a page today I got my inspiration from a page I found on Pintrest http://pinterest.com/pin/278801033154944153/

Have used a few different Kaiser  ranges of paper . I have used texture paste with a reverse brick mask on the back ground then sprayed it with Magic mica mist and embossed a hesin stamp by heartfelt creations .

I punched the edges of the wood grain paper and inked it with black ink . I die cut some banners using the Tim Holtz Tattered banner die and inked around the edges.

I cut chipboard cogs out and inked them with black ink first and then I used Viva Gold paste on them . The colours I used where  Hematith and Kupfer .I also used the Kupfer on the title . The letters are cut from old pepsi cans . I love how once this paste dries you can buff it up and it becomes shinny like metal .

I added some gauze and hesin under the photo mat .I also added just a few charms .

The photo matt opens and there is room for more photos and journaling under . It is held shut with a magnet .
Thanks for looking .
